J Crew Dotted Trousers J Crew Patterned Trousers Blue Silk
J.Crew Factory Jamie Pants (Favorite work pants of all time. They come in navy and black, too. Love the leopard as well!) / Machine-Washable Drapey Tie-Neck Top (Comes in pink and blue, too. And don't miss the leopard, polka dot and navy dot ones. If you live somewhere warmer, try the sleeveless version, which also comes in white dot.) / Calf Hair D'Orsay Flats (They also come in a boot version! Find the flat inleopard, too. This pump, btw, is my favorite "work" heel. So classic. Very excited that Factory brought it back this year!) / Wool Topcoat (Also consider the "New City Coat" and the "Village Coat" if you're in the market!) / Leopard Crossbody (Need to lug a ton of stuff to and from work? Try the Tote!) / Mitch's Corduroys and Chambray Shirt (Love the darker wash, too.)
I want to start doing a "wear-to-work" series. ☺️ While I haven't been in a traditional office setting for a while now, I do find that I'm far more productive wherever I'm working–at the gym, at the coffee shop or in my office–if I put in some extra effort. Of course, I'll probably always lean more toward "business casual" vs. professional or formal. And as much as I love them, you'll likely never see me in pencil skirts again; those are things of my past, worn only in my 20s when I didn't have babies and kids to pick up. ;) But I'd love to break out of my usual jeans-and-a-blouse/button-down/sweater uniform, and mix things up.
Most of my favorite work-appropriate clothing–both casual and more professional–comes from J.Crew Factory, as the brand carries so many timeless basics. And literally five seconds ago, I just discovered this: Factory has its own wear-to-work shop. The pieces are designed to complement each other, which makes shopping very easy… and I love that the entire collection is affordable. Today, though, I thought I'd highlight a few pieces that I own and want to own. 😉

Jamie Pants: Favorite work pants of all time. They're pull-on and feel like pajamas, but they look like dress pants. Believe me: you need them in your life. They run totally true to size, and the front part of the waistband is flat so they also pull you in! The Jamie Pants come in navy and black, too. Love the leopard as well!
Drapey Tie-Neck Top: And this is my favorite "work top" of all time! It comes in pink and blue, too. (And don't miss the leopard, polka dot and navy dot ones.) I love it because it looks like silk, but it's polyester and therefore totally safe to put in the washing machine. It's also very flowy and falls in a wonderfully flattering way. (I tried both my normal size and one up and one down, and they honestly all looked about the same, haha! So don't worry too much about sizing. Again, it's flowy, so it would be difficult to mess up.) If you live somewhere warmer, btw, you might want to try the sleeveless version, which also comes in white dot!
Calf Hair D'Orsay Flats: I've been wearing these a lot this month. I feel like everyone has leopard flats, but who has shoes that feature an antelopey/deer-like print?! (I'm clearly very outdoorsy. 😂) They also come in a boot version! Find the flat in leopard, too. And I should note that this pump is my favorite "work" heel. So classic. Very excited that Factory brought it back this year.
Wool Topcoat: Listen, friends. If you're in the market for a camel coat this season, pounce now, because all the good ones fell out so quickly every year. I love this one! It's a bit more casual with the raw edge, which I love, and it almost has a fleece-like feel. (Yet it's wool!) Runs slightly large; I went down one size. Also consider the "New City Coat" and the "Village Coat" if you like the topcoat!
Cap Toe Pumps: Again, these are such winners. They look like $800 designer heels to me! I took my normal size. They look smart with jeans, too. ;)
Turtleneck Sweater Tank: Don't have this but it's in my cart. Paired with ponte leggings or these Winnie Pants as the model is wearing them, the sweater tank is a show-stopper. Love it in the camel.
Open-Front Sweater Blazer: One of my most-worn pieces. Warm and cozy with the polished look of a blazer! Runs a bit large.
Leopard Print Winnie Pants: Haven't tried these yet but I'm temped. They look AMAZING on the model!
Schoolboy Blazer: Another can't-live-without staple. I always go a size up in Schoolboy Blazers. The houndstooth one is a classic, too, and probably needs to find its way into my closet…
Multistrand Pearl Necklace and Gemstone Petal Necklace: I'm very into dainty necklaces right now, but I still wear these two statement necklaces often–whenever I need to add a little something to an outfit! The gemstone one carried over into holiday wear very nicely!
Tote Bag: Can't beat the price on this tote bag! It's beautiful and looks perfect for commutes. :)
Anything I missed that you rely on?! Let me know!
